We are approaching the end of the liturgical year. This coming weekend is already Advent, a time of preparation for Christmas that most probably will be celebrated outdoors.

As we informed you in our last email, beginning this Sunday, November 15th, we will be going to our pre-Covid Sunday schedule with two Masses. First Sunday Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 in the morning and the second one at 11:00 am (NOT at 10:00am ANYMORE) . All Masses will be celebrated inside the main church with a limited number of participants (62) on FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS with an extension to the parish hall that can accommodate additional 70 people. Communion will be served in both places at the same time.

Because the weather is changing and temperature outside is getting lower, we have decided to move ALL liturgical activities from the grotto area to inside the church.

In response to the notice from the Diocese of Oakland to reopen in-person church services, Our Lady of Good Counsel is revising its Mass schedule, beginning tomorrow, October 31, 2020, as follows, subject to the provisions of the COVID-19 Ordinance of the Alameda County Public Health Officer:
· The Saturday Vigil Mass will be held at 5:00 pm inside the church in anticipation of late afternoons getting darker as we get deeper into Autumn.
· The Sunday Mass will still be celebrated at 10:00 am outside in the Grotto area as we have done in the past few months. The informal survey we conducted a couple of weekends ago found that a large number of attendees still want to continue the pleasure of having Mass outdoors under our beautiful trees. We will hold Sunday Masses outside for as long as the weather remains comfortable.
· Daily Masses will be held at 10:00 am also at the Grotto (weather permits).
This coming Monday, November 2nd, All Souls Day, we will celebrate Mass for our Faithful Departed at 10:00 am at the Grotto and at 7:00 pm INSIDE the church. On that day, we will begin our Novena Masses that will continue until Tuesday, November 10th. You can still include the names of your faithful departed using a special form available at the vestibule and in the temporary office at the Grotto area.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHANGE YOUR CLOCK THIS SATURDAY NIGHT. (ONE HOUR BACKWARDS) SO WE CAN MEET ON SUNDAY AT THE SAME TIME .
Thank you for your prayers and your continued financial support.
