The Children’s Choir of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in San Leandro, California was founded in September 2004, formed by Gloria Garcia, the Director and Pianist and Esperanza E. De Castro, Conductor. It’s main objective is to instill in the children, ages 6-14 years, a love for Liturgy music as well as worship songs of praise to the Lord! The choir provides music lessons to musically inclined children and prepare them for a future ministry in the church, and train them to be future leaders and active church workers. The choir encourages participation and development of talents inherent in the members like cantoring, piano, and other musical instruments They made their First musical debut in January 1, 2004 and sings every 3rd Sundays of each month in the OLGC 11:00 AM mass. They are a feature participant for the past years musical concert and the OLGC Church Christmas Pageant.
