We are already approaching February and still praying outdoors.
This Sunday, January 31st, Knights of Columbus invite us to the Grotto Area to pray the Rosary at 2pm. In our prayers, we will include the Salesian Fathers who this Sunday celebrate the Feast of their founder, Saint John Bosco. We will ask the Lord for more vocations to their Religious Order and special blessings for Fr. Joe Boenzi and Fr. Itchan who help us with celebrating Holy Eucharist here at OLGC.
This Tuesday, February 2nd, on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, we will bless your candles at the end of 11:00am Mass. If you would like to purchase vigil candles, we will have them available.
On Wednesday, February 3rd, on the Feast of St. Blaise, we will have the traditional Blessing of the Throat. Those of you who would like to receive this blessing, can stay right after the 11:00am Mass.
If you still need a financial statement with your 2020 contributions, you may contact Evelyn Bonito directly at the parking lot or by calling our parish office at 510-969-7013. You may also send us your request by email or regular mail.

Beginning this weekend, we will have Holy Communion distributed before the closing prayer, parish announcements and the final blessing. More details on this topic will be announced right before the Holy Communion. After the final blessing, you will be free to leave the parking lot safely.
Those of you, who would like to receive a statement of your financial contributions to our church in 2020, can send us a request by e-mail or regular mail or by simply calling our parish office. Using our records, we will generate this statement ASAP so you can use it for filing your income taxes. We thank you for your donations that make our pastoral ministry possible, especially now in these unprecedented times.
Next Sunday, January 31st is the fifth Sunday of the month and our Knights of Columbus invite us, our family members and friends to attend their Rosary Prayer at 2:00PM in the Grotto area. All Covid procedures will be followed. The Knights will provide special prayer cards for those who will attend. Again, all are welcome.

Dear Parishioners and Friends,
We continue our Christmas Season thanking God for revealing Himself to us and to the entire world through the Incarnation of His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the One, who brings us hope as we enter the New Year.
We thank you for your dedication, love and kindness but above all for your prayers and financial support.
May the Lord bless us and Mary, our Blessed Mother, intercede for us always.

We continue our journey of faith through this pandemic asking God and His Blessed Mother for the Divine protection.
This coming Thursday, February 11th is the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. Outdoor Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM. 30 minutes before Mass we will begin a recitation of the Holy Rosary for the sick.
Pope St. John Paul II designated February 11th as World Day of the Sick. It is a special time of prayers and sharing, of offering one’s suffering for the good of the Church and of reminding us to see in our sick brothers and sisters the face of the Christ who, by suffering, dying, and rising, achieved the salvation of the humankind.
Lenten Season is approaching quickly. In one week and half, we will celebrate Ash Wednesday. Since, there is no opportunity to have any indoor retreats, we recommend virtual activities. One of them is a “LENTEN CONSECRATION VIRTUAL RETREAT WITH MARY” led by Rosemary Medeiros.
If you or someone you know would like to join this retreat, please contact Rosemary Medeiros directly. Her e-mail and more information about this retreat are printed on a special page of this weekend’s Electronic Bulletin. You can also call our parish office.
